LYNNE'S SOMEWHAT INVENTED LIFE. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

SNOW ON THE LAWNSWINGS
This is the scene in a friend's back yard. The stream is full of icy water, the ground is covered with snow. Isn't spring here?
Maybe not.
Last week we sat on the lawn swings in the sun. Yesterday we sat in the lawn swings. Okay, we wore coats but we sat there. Not today.
But you can't fool the Mother Nature. She knows the date. Spring was officially five days ago.
And in another few days I will go forth and harvest the first bounties of spring. I will peel and salt the first tender morsels. I will share with any grandchild that comes. Mmm. Rhubarb! Springs first gift.
i love rhubarb and wish I could get it to grow here...
ReplyDeletewell I think you must be a month ahead of us! Yikes that means that we will have snow until may!!
ReplyDeleteYou have those sweet glimmers of green. No such luck here. Everything is very late.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hay? Snow again? I can't believe it...
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, I can't believe that shot of the snow on the gazebo. It looks like a winter wonderland. What are you going to make with the rhubarb, pie? (I, unlike Hildy, LOVE warm, mushy fruit!)
