FAMILY PRAYER

Last night it was Phil's turn to say Family Prayer but I could tell he was tired. I asked him if he wanted me to say it. He merely nodded.

While praying I must have been extra grateful for all our blessing, and I must have asked for quite a few blessings for people in my ward who are sick, and for family members, and a friend who is in California and will be driving back to Utah alone, and other friends who I have been thinking of and loving. I must have prayed for a while. When I said "Amen." I looked up to see Phil crumpled against the wall.

"Are you all right?"

"I should have prayed," he said. "I could have been in bed and asleep by now."

  1. I think your prayers must be extra effective! Did you shine your sink??

  2. The nerve of you being so grateful and asking to bless all those people.

I thought you were going to say Dad had fallen asleep during your marvelous prayer.

  3. I'm proud of him for not falling asleep. Sometimes I struggle with staying awake for my own prayers.

  4. Personally I think bed is a handy place to pray. Poor Phil.

I knew I would feel better if I just stopped by to see what you've been up to.

  6. I can TOTALLY relate to this!! Heh, heh!

When I say the family prayers---I really get specific, so Aydan now says----"Not Mommy, not mommy"!!

He tries to talk my hubby into saying them all...
