I shouldn't have done it, I really shouldn't. I'd repent but I'm not sorry.
I made this dessert for my visiting teaching companion--who has the cutest baby on the planet, I might add--and I made another one for whoever came by after Priesthood Conference and instead of sending it home with people--which would have been the smart thing to do--I kept the leftovers and today Phil looked in the fridge and said, "Is this ALL the lemon dessert that is left?"
I pretended deafness. And blindness. And then I moved out of state and changed my name.
PS For those who don't like lemon--like my darling daughter-in-law--you can make a chocolate version--with chocolate shavings on top. Very impressive. And how can you go wrong with chocolate?
its a good thing that your dessert was made with lemon and that is not my favorite, or I would have demanded that you make this for me when I come there again!
ReplyDeleteNow, if it was cheesecake---I'd be a goner...
I thought there would be some lovely critters decorating it but, sadly, no.
ReplyDeleteMy mother used to make this. And always around Easter, too.
ReplyDeleteI like lemon, but chocolate sounds awfully good, too. Can't wait to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThat's looks delicious, I feel sorry for your daughter-in-law.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy!! I would love to be your visiting teaching companion!! I hope you moved to California!!
ReplyDeleteAre you the devil?! Tempting me with this delicous looking dessert. LOL Just when I have recommitted to eating better, you have to post this recipe--and I LOVE LOVE lemons!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks delish!
ReplyDeleteAnd we're just going to have to agree to disagree, because I'm pretty sure I live with the cutest baby on the planet!
Thanks for putting the recipe up there. YUUUUUMMMMMY!
Oh yummy! A friend in the Ward brought me a lovely lime dessert similar to that when my last baby was born. I didn't share with anyone. Just nibbled away at it for days, one spoonful at a time. Sadly, I feel no guilt. However, I know my weakness and have never used the recipe she gave me for it. One can only stand so much temptation.
ReplyDeleteI love sour things and I love sweet things, and this recipe is a combination of both, so thanks for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteMy Grammy made homemade hand-dipped chocolates and Greek cookies, but in between eating sweet things, I would eat dill pickles or I would cut a lemon in half and suck the juice out of it like most people would eat an orange. After all that sour, then I was ready for more chocolates.
I just ran into Azzy's bedroom, because based on what you said, I thought she must have kidnapped Azzy. If she did, she snuck her back in her crib. I would love either version. I will check out the recipe
