OUR BOY IS IN THE HOSPITAL

This is our boy, Taylor. He is in the hospital tonight. He went to the doctor today because he has been feeling rotten, even throwing up for two freaking weeks! (This family doesn't procrastinate, oh no.) He checked his symptoms out with everyone's best friend, Google, and finally agreed that he might have a problem, Houston. His appointment was for 2:00 o'clock and later today he was resting, un-comfortably, in the hospital, minus his appendix.

He now feels like this:
Sharee called me to see if I could pick Bailey up from school. I was talking to her on the phone when I could hear Taylor talking in the background, "Tell Ma (he always calls me "Ma") that I'm going to go get my 'Kitten pouch' out." When he says stuff like that his wife says, "Say what?"

And then she smiles because he says stuff like this all the time. It's a veritable joke fest around their house. So now the "Kitten Pouch" is removed and they didn't even get any kittens. No wonder Taylor looks like that, getting no kittens for all the pain. He once told me--when I told him, "No, we can't get another cat," that he was going to grow up and have 17 cats. They do have two dog and two cats and four kids. I think that's plenty, don't you?

Get well, Taylor, I had my appendix out--what was left of them after they had ruptured 30 hours earlier. You were just five weeks old. I know just how you feel.

I'll bring more Russian teacakes and fudge when you feel up to it. Just let me know. Yup. When you feel this good. I'll bring them. Fudge and teacakes. And maybe Muddy Buddies. Elizabeth reminded me that I should make some of those but they weren't on my list (and I just got an order for 17 pounds of caramels) so it's only a maybe.

But, you gotta get better first.

What!! 17 pounds of caramels? Are you going into business? I hope Taylor recovers quickly, and I am glad you went to the doctor. I'll bet you didn't go for your stress test like you were supposed to. If I were your daughter, I would try to make you, but it probably wouldn't work. Looking at your blog was my "treat" before I go wake Azzy up so we can get ready to go to the dentist. If only she'd given me her schedule letting me know she wanted to sleep late today, I would have made the appointment later. Hmm. Looks like I should have sent an e-mail instead of a comment.

Much Love

Do you think that 17 pounds of caramels will fit in my birthday shoes? Prolly not. I think I'll bring my huge fatty stocking instead.

P.S. I hope Taylor feels better. I'm sure he will mourn the loss of his kitten pouch as he never got his 17 kittens from it.

Missed reading your blog last night, so missed this family news. I'm sure glad Taylor finally got around to checking out his symptoms and touching base with the doctor! Glad he's feeling better. Tell him we have plenty of kitties to share, so he doesn't have to mourn the loss of his kitty pouch.

Lynne I love your blog - you always make me laugh and I see that your children share your wonderful sense of humor - you crack me up!

Two weeks of being sick, yikes I would have been to the doctor after the first week - I'm a wimp when it comes to throwing up...it's the worst.

Here's hoping that your son will be home soon and be feeling up to the Holiday festivities - I am sure he will have alot of family around taking care of him.

Happy Holidays - Julie

I am glad that he is okay now and hope that he has a speedy recovery. Thank God that his appendix did not rupture and he had the sense to go to the doctor and get checked. A lot of men do not go to the doctors and that is probably why they get sooooo sick when they do. You have taught him well and it seems like he has your sense of humor. That is wonderful.

Please give him my "Get Well" wishes. Love the pictures too.

God bless.

PS...Fudge and Muddy Buddies sound good. Just one thing though, what are Muddy Buddies? Is the recipe in the family cookbook?

Appendix? Some guys will do anything to hang around with nurses.
I still have all my factory installed parts. Well, except a few teeth got misplaced.

He hadn't been throwing up for two weeks. He had only been queezy for that long.

However, we are not procstinators, we are busy! HaHA!

BTW, that pic of me, the wife, is not so attractive. It must have been a bad face, hair, day.
