ARE THESE THE CULPRITS?

For two days I have been spending many hours in the bathroom. There isn't much I dislike more than throwing up--only a trip to the gynecologist and dentist come to mind and, as I think of it, probably not even those. After barfing you are thirsty and so you drink a tiny bit of water, you sip it slowly so it won't come back up, but it does. If you don't drink any water your stomach just tries to throw itself up.

The only thing I ate differently than Phil was four strawberries and a tablespoon of sour cream. Brand new strawberries, never opened, brand new sour cream, the "pull date" way in the future. Strawberries are the one thing I feel like eating but I couldn't survive another barf-a-rama session. So help me I couldn't. It's been 40 hours since this whole nonsense started and I still feel awful.

Look how fresh and wonderful the strawberries look.
But out they go.
So, that's why I haven't blogged nor have I checked blogs. Thanks, my dear blogging friends, for the phone calls and the emails. It's so nice to have concerned family and friends.

oh and here I thought you were busy looking after all your family!

I hope this hasn't turned you off strawberries for good!

Jello! tea! crackers or chips and then after a couple of hours chocolate cake!

oh, such poor little berries and sour cream, but I am sure they understand. I hope you feel all better very soon. Lots of loves.

I thought there would be more interesting photographs after the barf-a-rama.

I hope you feel better soon. You were right to throw away those alleged culprits. Better safe than sorry, I say!!

Hope your feeling better. These berries are coming from out of the country... no telling how they've been grown. Even though you washed them... tiny bacteria sticks.

Who knows... we may have to grow our own strawberries again.

I wash my cantalope and watermelon with a little dish soap before I cut into it. Just for protection.

Of course... I wouldn't suggest that process for strawberries.

I'm sorry you're sick. I love strawberries too, I hope I don't get the strawberry flu, I've been eating them like crazy.
I love your quote for the day (on the 27th).
I hope you get better, it's no fun to feel crummy in such "good" weather.
Love you

I am sorry that you are still sick. If you don't feel better soon, maybe you should go to the doctor.

That was so nice of you to go up and see Tricia, I hope to see her soon myself.

the culprit is probably the norovirus. It's horrible. We've all had it here- and it's still going through work. The hospital where I work was jammed full of people coming to the ER with severe dehydration due to all of the yuck. Hang in there, it goes away. It's also very contagious.
