LOSING IT--IF NOT THE WEIGHT, OUR MINDS

That is the title of the blog a friend and I want to start but neither one knows how to start one where two people can post. In fact, I can't even figure out how to start a new one, period. I'm blaming being sick with a cold on my stupidity but in fact, I may just be stupid. I've figured out how to start blogs three times before, so what's up? If you say something about a "senior moment" I will never speak to you again. I mean it.

We've joined Weight Watchers. We're hungry. I think I only used 18 of my points today because suffering (not silently) with the drippy, sneezy cold, fixing dinner was beyond me. I wanted someone to cater to me. Half a can of chili was as close as it got.

Here's a place where you can see the point value of foods. I've made the link red in honor of the "no points" value of the grape tomatoes I bought at Buy Low today--three pounds for $1.29. I think if you ate three pounds of tomatoes there should be some points, don't you? There's a flaw somewhere there.
I ate 8 or 12 tomatoes--I can't remember which--and I dunked them in ranch dressing--the full fat kind--mixed with apple cider vinegar. I'm still puckering.

Anyway, if you are a member of Weight Watchers send ideas for things to eat. Send web sites with recipes. I don't know how often I can eat chili and tomatoes dunked in puckery stuff.

PS You know that scale at the top of this post? That's our STARTING weight. Hahahahaha. (A little diet humor. We're laughing to keep from crying.)

well oh boy I did WW once, lost 20 pounds, but only gained 10 backs...I could go back but I'm done dieting...really not because I'm happy where i'm at, but it's too much work...i'm never ever hungry at the same time everyday ...you have to be disciplined and I'm not disciplined but while I was there I made it simple

Low sugar Oatmeal for breakfast or any of the WW brand bread where they indicate the numbers and you don't have to think.

I hate cooking, I don't cook...for Lunch either salad and low cal dressing or one of WW soup

dinner any of WW Smart ones frozen meals which are actually pretty good, all things considered, most are between 4 and 7 points...add tons of vegetables and you can make a pretty filling bowl..

I MUST have dessert, so I always had a WW dessert, they have a lot of stuff...

That's it, occasionally though if I absolute had to eat, I try never to eat at night, so I go to bed at 3 pm lol after the soaps, anyhoo, you can have low fat chips, you can have fruits, yogourt...and with that I lost 20 pounds..then I stopped and it took me a year after I totally stopped dieting to gain 10 back, not a bad average...

Enjoy, I'll pray you succeed or I'll pray you stop minding the extra weight (that's my thing lol)

I am no quitter so I am holding on to my pounds...

good luck I am sure that your normal cooking is just fine...maybe not the caramels...just eat a big salad before your main course and eat less of the good stuff!

lots of hot liquids for your cold! and rest!!!

Eat liver. That will ruin your appetite for days.

I didn't do Weight Watchers, but I did that other one from TV---I lost 6 lbs., but gained about 10 back----so now I am still doing the low carb one...

Good luck, my dear!
