SURE SIGNS OF AUTUMN

The nursery's no longer carry petunias, just lots and lots of mum's.
My flowers are winding down. I stood on the driveway and took the following two photos of the mountain we see every day. Two weeks and three days ago there wasn't one red tree on that mountain.

The canning continues. All fourteen jars of tomatoes sealed today because I turned them upside down. Yay!

I don't love mums because it means fall. I don't love fall because it means winter. I don't love winter because it means cold and dark. I don't like cold and dark because it is hard for me to feel cheerful under those conditions and then I have to get my brain shocked. I vote we get Southern California weather here. If I want to feel cold and snowy then I could visit it somewhere else. I believe that is the best thing idea I've ever had :)

Mums are so bittersweet....your flowers are still glorious! Oh, and I'll be by for dinner someday soon;)

what is going on? We are here enjoying summer weather and not a yellow tree in sight! Red trees here mean that the Pine beetles have killed the pine trees.

I love fall! You win the award for best in class at home making and everything that goes with it!

Congratulations on the canning success! I'd still like for you to do a detailed post on how in the hades to can for dummies (like me).
