A MIRACLE OF MOTHERHOOD

Today in Relief Society we were discussing what mother's did/do with their children. One woman said something like the following.

From the first moment a mother holds her infant she pats it. As it grows, she holds it to her breast, holds it on her shoulder, always lovingly patting her child. One day a miracle happens, she feels a little hand on the back of her neck, patting her back.

I remember hugging my mother and kissing her the year before she died. It is something I will never forget.

ahh this sure brings back memories!

sometimes the patting brings up a burp and even a little spit up.

Its always so confusing to me (frustrating) that there are such wonderful lessons in RS and many (most?) mothers with small children, who lack a lot of perspective, are busy in Nursery, Primary, and Young Women's. . . Oh well! Thanks for the update/reminder of a great lesson--I'll take what I can get!

Ohhh, that was so cool---it made me sad that I don't have babies around anymore...
