LUNCH AT THE QUILTLER'S

Today, the dear ladies, who are my Visiting Teachers, hosted a luncheon for the women they visit each month. It was at LouAnn's house. LouAnn is a quilter--besides being such a darling woman. Her house is decked out with all her handiwork.
This was the quilt she made for the luncheon. She apologized that it wasn't quilted yet.
Our visiting teachers are the "Book-ends."
This is the quilt she is making for Christmas.
Everywhere you look there are handmade items, antique furniture and of course, quilts.
The quilt on the left has tiny squares of fabric that mean something special to LouAnn.
This little doll is in honor of her mother, who was a wonderful gardener.

This little cupboard is filled with her miniature quilts. And I will close with the sentiment on this sampler, "All is well." These three words have saved me from despair on more than a dozen days/nights. I have a whole file of "all is well" messages from emails from friends and family, which I open often and read. Most are from one friend, who I love as much as is possible. I am very lucky to have such wonderful friends.
All is well.

That quilter has too much talent and too much time...but then I guess someone has to be her and doing what she does or it wouldn't get done by the likes of me.

I am jealous...but all is well and as it should be.

my word verication is naginess...hmmm I guess it is official.

LouAnn is such a talented lady. All this and docent at the pioneer park in Provo, too! The world is a better place, a prettier place, because of LouAnn. This is what I miss about not being in Relief Society.

My word is undri. I wonder if it would work if I just typed in "wet"

Hi Lynne

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for visiting my blog! Of course I came to look at yours, and read through some posts and then I saw this one about visiting with LouAnn. Now you are not going to believe what a small world this is, but I KNOW her! We used to live in SLC, and my MIL is is Am Fork and runs the quilt group there, New Friends. Well I used to go all the time and so did LouAnn! I love her! She gave me a bunch of scraps once when I was newly married and I am still using those things! Just mention Carmen (my MIL)and Joanna Martinez to her and she will smile and know who we are!
