THE DIATRIBE BLOG

Someone, I'm calling her Blessherheart, was here the other day and said, "I looked at your blog and it was this long diatribe." And then Blessherheart pulled a face, not a horrible face, just kind of a "I hate your blog--it's stupid," face and then Blessherheart said, "Have you read so-and-so's blog? It's really cute. Did you see her costumes? How she does all she does I'll never know. Blah, blah, blah, everyone but you has a charming blog." Okay, maybe she didn't actually say anything from the "Blah's" but I heard it, just the same. And then Blessyourheart changed the subject and I let it go. And, by the way, I had read so-and-so's blog and I agreed. So-and-so is Mrs. Amazing. She really is.

Synonyms for diatribe: tirade, harangue.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Blessherheart. It really warms my little heart. Or maybe it "worms" my little heart. I can't decide which.

So that's tonight's post. No diatribe.

well you can always make a new one! Or you can make your blog only available to people you allow to read it...ask me I know. And I did.

But I love your blog!

Regardless of Blessherheart's true identity (though I have an idea:) I complete disagree. I LOVE your blog. Reading it is something I very much look forward to - even if I have to catch up on a whole weeks worth of entries, I read them all and love every second.

You tell Blessherheart that she's not allowed any more judgement until she starts her own blog!

Well, I LOVE your blog, too. So-and-so can't possible hold a candle to you because I have always said that you are Mrs. Amazing! I am like your niece in Hawaii, I look forward to reading your blog. Sometimes I don't read it for a few days, but I also catch up when I do read it. I just don't make comments on every entry that I read, but I love them all just the same.

Ah, the irony of self-referentialisation.

hey, we can' all be cutesy. Have you seen Seriously, so blessed ? it is a (sarcastic) take on the mommy blogs of endless bliss, written by an anonymous, prob LDS, Utah writer.

At any rate, I love your blog, and read it because I like your insights. So there.

Well, I think your blog is creative, witty, clever and insightful. You make you smile!! Reading your blog makes me want to write better and bring life to my posts. I still have a long way to go, but I'll keep on trying.

I laughed out loud at your name for her, especially recalling your post about why you might say, "Bless her heart". Haha. I still share that post with others in random conversation.

I think we all have blessherhearts in our lives, but the important thing is to smile, be nice and then disregard everything they say and move on. I have many blessherhearts in my life who have comments on my parenting and if I took to heart their comments I'd be a basket case. I love your writing, you just keep it up.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. I have decided she's both right and wrong and I love her for both opinions. Ya' gotta' love the Blessherheart's of this world 'cause often they are out offending others--without realizing it--and they need to be loved.

Your sympathy and kind words were so unexpected and so welcomed. I Thank you from the bottom of my little heart.
