SIX WORDS FOR HAPPY CAT, MINKEY

Snooze, stretch, snoozing again, pure contentment.

I have a way of making every dog I have ever owned dependent on me. Although they would be locked up for 8 to 10 hours when I taught school, they would not stay outside unless I would go out there and stand until they relieved themselves. They preferred to suffer and stay with me rather than to leave me even long enough to empty a bursting bladder.

Cosmo is the same way although I rarely leave him alone for long stretches of time unless it is on my two days that I go to the temple. Even when I am home with him all day, if I let him outside, he just comes back, scratches on the back door, and whines until I either let him in or go outside with him.

Randy's Scottish Terrier, Rocky, was normal until I came to live here and after about a year he became dependent on me, as well. Randy felt like the dogs ran the house. To use your words, we were held hostage by the dogs. I am not sure what I do to enable this, but all my dogs have been very smart and have trained me well. Cosmo has trained me to give him a treat when he sits up and looks adorable, too.

I love what you wrote in OLD FRIENDS AND NEW FRIENDS. On many occasions after Randy passed away, I have been on my knees praying for some comfort and then in just a short period of time there would be a knock on my door, phone call, or email.

Lynne, you have been one of those angels who have blessed my life at some very needful times.

May God bless you and help you to feel healthy
soon.

P.S. I sent you an email last night.

ahhhhhhhh, pleasant thought. My cat prefers to sleep on my head.
